Hi everyone,

We would like to apologize for the confusing message sent yesterday
about the Software Prize that still contained and even started with
internal messages.

To apologize for our mistake, and to encourage you even further to nominate
a great software project, we have extended the nomination deadline to
June 18th.

Help us highlight the work of our community.

The ADASS Prize for an Outstanding Contribution to Astronomical
Software is awarded every year at the annual conference.
Eligible candidates are the developers of astronomical software
ranging from those that have stood the test of time to those that
are new and cutting edge. Depending on the software and the
nomination, the award is given to either a group or an
individual. Nominations can be for a single program, a package or
a library.

Please submit your nominations for this years ADASS Software Prize at
http://www.tricider.com/brainstorming/31N4Ro1ab9x

Under "Pros and cons", briefly describe why this software should
receive the prize. You can add arguments pro or con a particular
software. However you cannot vote for it; voting has been
disabled for this tricider. You can make multiple
nominations. Self-nominations are accepted. Note that you do not
have to register with tricider in order to add a nomination.

Nominations close June 15th, at midnight UTC. At that point, the
POC will review the nominations and descriptions and determine
the winner. The winning software author, or a representative of
the winning team, will be invited to give a talk at ADASS this
year, have their ADASS conference fee waived, and receive a
plaque.

Sincerely,
Kathleen Labrie,
Stephen Gwyn,
On behalf of the ADASS Program Organizing Committee
