Dear member of the ADASS community,

The future of astronomical data formats is something affecting practically all of us, and one of the main items of discussion in our community, as shown in the last ADASS conference. The Editors of the journal Astronomy and Computing aim for a special issue fully dedicated to this question, and invite for contributions. Please see

Call for Papers: http://www.journals.elsevier.com/astronomy-and-computing/call-for-papers/special-issue-of-astronomy-and-computing-on-the-future-of-as/
Contributed papers: http://www.journals.elsevier.com/astronomy-and-computing/news/contributions-to-the-special-issue-on-the-future-of-astronom/

There will be most probably a BoF dedicated to this topic in the coming ADASS conference in October in Calgary, Canada.

Best regards,
Carlos Gabriel
