[Adass-announce] Participation in the selection of key topics for ADASS 2015

Dear ADASS community member, 

The ADASS Program Organising Committee is trying to favour a larger level of communication and participation of the whole community in several aspects of the conference organisation and governance. We have conducted a test with a new tool during the last conference in Calgary, which was successful enough to encourage its usage for helping with some of the important tasks we have yearly. This time we aim to gather your opinions for the selection of the key topics of the next conference. We would like to choose some of the topics directly through your opinion, and so invite you all to participate in this enterprise, suggesting eventually a topic, and voting for suggested ones. 

The tool to be used is a free app, "Appgree" (www.appgree.com) and can be used from your smartphone or a browser. The channel to follow is ADASS and we have started just minutes ago a question about the topics for the next conference. You will be able to propose one key topic, and will be asked to vote for proposals up to seven times within the next seven days. We expect to keep this channel active in the future and come up with further questions (i.e. for the selection of invited speakers).

For your info about the history of themes in ADASS, I attach here a list of the key topics handled so far in our conference.
